10. The last of us
The anticipation for this HBO adaptation is undoubtedly strong because the original video game by Naughty Dog was among the most well-liked of the decade. The Game's inventor, Neil Druckmann, and Emmy-winning writer Craig Mason of Chornobyl fame co-wrote all ten screenplays for the show. Composer Gustavo Santa Olaya is also integrally involved in its creation. It ensures excellence and almost certainly results in a faithful adaptation of the source material. Pedro Pascal will play Joel in The Last of Us, and Bella Ramsay, who appeared on Game of Thrones, will play Ellie. The history of video game adaptations has undoubtedly been bumpy, but we believe in the last of us. Today, we won't betray that trust.
9. Ozark season 4
Ozark was unfavourably compared to Breaking Bad when it originally debuted in the summer of 2017. This was caused by a plot that shared many similarities with the well-liked crime drama, but the program still managed to make a name for itself on television. In fact, its third season received the best ratings to date; Julia Garner won an Emmy for her actions; and the programme itself received numerous awards for writing, editing, and production design. It's reasonable to conclude that the series has finally emerged from Breaking Bad's shadow and developed into a superb piece of television. We can't wait to see how the fourth season maintains momentum.
8. Atlanta season 3
The third season of Atlanta has been long overdue, but it is finally here. Donald Glover is the creator of this enigmatic work of surrealist amusement, which has always received positive reviews. It has been hailed as one of the best shows of the twenty-first century and has garnered several industry accolades. Its second season, which somehow outperformed the first, finished in May 2018. Production has been long delayed by scheduling issues and competitive lockdowns, but the third and fourth seasons were shot back-to-back in the summer of 2021. What Glover has in store for us is unknown, but we can be confident that it will be absolutely unpredictable.
7. Halo
Halo has been a household name in gaming since 2001. Halo, a seminal first-person shooter, and its follow-ups revolutionised the genre and spread the idea of online matching. The series features an intriguing plot while being primarily renowned for its amazing multiplayer gameplay. The forthcoming paramount Plus series, in which Pablo Schreiber plays a master chief, will examine this tale. This project has a lot of potential, thanks to its 200 million-dollar budget and executive producer Steven Spielberg's involvement. The television series will premiere soon after the December release of Halo Infinite. It's safe to assume that Halo aficionados will have plenty to do in 2022.
6. The witcher's blood origin
Although The Witcher on Netflix was met with mixed reviews from critics, it was a huge success for the streaming giant and rekindled interest in the series. Profiting from its popularity, Netflix approved the prequel series Blood Genesis. Additionally, it is based on the books of André Sapkowski. The tale will follow the making of the first witcher and is set about 1000 years before the original. Declan Debara, an author who has contributed to shows like The Originals and Iron Fist, will be in charge of it. Debara also penned the episode about banquets, bastards, and cemeteries for the Poor Witcher series. Since Blood Origin promises more innovative fantasy action, we are eager to embark on new journeys.
5. The Mandalorian, season 3
The Mandalorian, a thrilling new installment in the Star Wars franchise, has consistently garnered praise since its release in November 2019. Exceptional talent is behind this programme, including writer and showrunner John Favreau. Additionally, it has accumulated a number of illustrious directors, such as Tycho Ytti and Robert Rodriguez. Even more significant than the first, the second season received numerous nominations for Primetime Emmys and received overwhelmingly favourable reviews. The much-awaited third season of the Mandalorian story began filming in the summer of 2021, with returning actors Pedro Pascal and Giancarlo Esposito and new showrunner Carl Weathers promising even more excitement and adventure.
4. Stranger Things, Season 4
One of those popular culture phenomena that took off for the moon and never returned is Stranger Things. The programme was a huge success and made a name for itself thanks to its talented cast, creative plot, and Spielbergian atmosphere, which featured all the monsters, adventures, and government agents one could handle. However, little is known about the eagerly anticipated fourth season, which is rumoured to take place around spring break in 1986. What is known, though, is that everyone in the main cast, along with the Duffer brothers, will be returning as writers and directors. The massacre at Hawkins Lab, Chapter 7, also promises a return to the government lab. Filming on that chapter ended in September 2021, so it's only a matter of time.
3. Obi-wan Kenobi
Disney Plus has approved numerous new Star Wars episodes as a result of The Mandalorian's success, and in 2022, the prequel to Rogue One and/or a new series centred on Obi-wan Kenobi will be released. Ten years have passed since Revenge of the Sith, and the television show aims to incorporate some fan service. Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen, who reprise their respective roles as Obi-Wan and Darth Vader, are among others who return. Using the same set as the Mandalorian obi-wan kenobi, who finished filming in September 2021, Joel Edgerton will also play Luke Skywalker's uncle Owen in six episodes that will premiere at some point in the following year. The Star Wars franchise hopes for a successful 2022, and so do we.
2. House of the Dragon
The IP is still powerful enough to generate typeset 200 years before Game of Thrones: House of the Dragon, which will detail the Targaryen civil war as it is portrayed in George R. R. Martin's Fire and Blood. Game of Thrones may have fallen on its face while crossing the finish line. This series has a stellar cast that includes Chris Evans as Sir Otto Hightower and Patty Considine as the King of Very. It is currently filming in Spain, California, and England. It also makes use of a new virtual stage that was recently constructed at Warner Brothers' Limestone Studio. The Game of Thrones prequel series offers all the intrigue we've grown accustomed to, and it has the fan-favorite Targaryen. What's not to love?

Ignore 2022. The Lord of the Rings may be the most eagerly anticipated television series in history. With over 150 million copies sold, the series is undoubtedly the best-known in fantasy literature. Of course, the film also brought in close to $3 billion. The anticipation for this Amazon original is really strong. The plot takes place during the second age of Middle-earth, a pivotal period that saw the development of the power rings and the ascent and fall of Sauron. This is the most expensive television program ever produced, costing Amazon in the neighborhood of $1 billion. My fingers get a faint tickle. Five seasons are planned, with the first one premiering on September 2, 2022. Buckle up, because it might very well become the TV event of our time.
